4th of July

This week was super fun lots of "finding" which translates to "looking' because we didn't actually find but we are still diligently doing our part to searve our master.

the 4th was really fun in the morning the ward invited us to their breakfast and bike parade and then they had us lead it! it was super fun AND it was cloudy and 86 degrees which i know is super hot still but it felt WONDERFUL!

we had appointments the rest of the day WOOT and then we had to be in by six and sadly we couldn't see any boom booms but we did (by insperation from yours truly) turn our whole house into a putt putt course which was actualy super fun and we did that all evening hehe.

so last week our washer exploded! and by that i mean it cumbusted vilently and by that i mean the motor just burned out... but it was still crazy! so we have to take our two week worth of sweat rags to a members to use their facilities...

ok so in my dreams which have all turned to mission related topics (go figure) everyone refers to me as Elder Pehrson not that other name haha its like a change of identity but a good one and then i was thinking that this is actually the real world and what all of you people are living in is actually the Matrix! which in a way is kinda true but its funny because i'll be talking to the ward council and they will all be talkking gospel stuff and i keep thinking well what else is there to talk about this is how the world should be haha well any way i love you all so much you mean the world to me!

Love Elder Pehrson

Once upon a time...

there was an Elder named Soup (Campbell) who rode his bike everywhere with his companion Elder Pehr (son of).

Elder Soup loved running over things with his bike, so much so that he would swerve out of his way -- even to the opposite side of the street -- to run over a cup.

One day as this intrepid duo was galavanting about in the Barren Desert, Elder Soup saw a whole milk jug lying in the street.

To his joy and enjoyment he promptly went and ran over the jug.

To his surprise, but adding to his delight, the jug was full to the brim with water.

The first impact of his front tire to the jug did nothing but knock the plastic cap off. But when his back tire hit the jug, the jug was crushed and its contents sent asunder in a forceful manner.

Little to Elder Soup's knowledge, but Elder Pehrson was riding beside and a little behind him...

With the explosive discharge of the contents of the jug, Elder Pehrson was forcibly covered head-to-toe with the contents of said jug.

Both Elders rode away feeling rather good--one amused, the other cooled down.

The end.

Dreams

Ok do you relise that i've been out for... well i'm in my fourth month now! crazy! it feels like i've been here for a week! but i want you folk to know that i'm loving being a missionary it is the best ever!

i don't know how anyone would ever not want to be on a mission! and i mean that every time i think about "home" all i see is me still out doing missionary work and it's crazy!

i'm to the point where i'm dreaming about teaching people!

i had one dream i'll tell you about:

so there i was in the middle of the barren desert and for some reason i was sitting on this pool thing (imagine a broken sprikler pipe how it bubbles up well i was sitting on that)

all around me is completly empty but for a huge sahouro cacti right in fron of me and i was teaching it about the BofM

for some reason i was getting so frustratated that it would not make the commitment to read the book and i kept telling it that it wasn't going to rain and i was sitting on the only water its ever going to get but the only way it could drink was for it to read but still it wouldn't

and then finally a lizerd comes by and starts reading it to the cacti and then i was so happy

then i used my frisbee(i'm not lying) to pour water over both of them...

yeah so haha welcome to the brain of Elder Pehrson... its an interesting place...

any who you guys should tune into the weather channel for down here because its going to be hot hot hot!

oh i was going to tell you this week we went tracting one day for like three hours straight and the coolest thing happened as we were walking our shoes bacame super sticky and guess what! they were starting to melt!

CRAZY

Well i love you all so so so so so much keep me posted

Love you

Elder Pehrson

Awesome contact story (a bit overdue)

Ok, so we were biking around on a Sunday evening and it's a cool 105 degrees outside and we are on our 18th mile that day and we have no idea where to go so we stop and pray and after the prayer I took the lead and we just started biking.

At every street I heard a voice telling me 'Right' or 'Left' or 'Straight.'

Until at last we got to this run-down little street and I heard 'Stop.'

In front of us was this tiny little house and we went up and knocked on the door and this lady answered. We find out she'd just had a stroke 6 months ago and broke her foot and lost her old house and she'd just that moment gotten off the phone with her Baptist church leader who was telling her that he can't give her rides to church and she shouldn't ask people for that and she's a lost cause and should just give up.

So she opened the Bible to James 1:5 and prayed that the Lord would tell her why things are--and at that moment we rang her doorbell.

We felt as soon as we saw her that this poor woman needed a blessing so we introduced ourselves and offered her a priesthood blessing. She broke down crying and exclaimed "Yes! Yes! Oh God, yes!"

Elder Campbell gave her a blessing, after which she told us her story about how alone she is and how her mom was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and her stepmom had also just had a stroke that was worse than her own.

Everything in this woman's 46 years of life has been preparing her for the message we had for her that day. We're going back this week to teach her more. The Lord has been spending years preparing people for the message we bring to them. I know that I could be in no other place than this. My mission has done more good for me than any other month and a half of my life.

I know my Savior lives. I know God loves us. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only complete and full doctrine on the face of this Earth. Jesus Christ is the Light of this world, and through Him all things are brought to pass. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and I would go through all the fires and trials of this world to prove to all that I have a God who is the only and true God.

These things I testify in the name of Jesus Christ.
