Good news

WELL HELLO FELLOW ONES!

ok so good news! we finally got an IVR referral! woot! and its for Kim and her son Haden, they were at a bus stop in phoenix and some missionaries stopped by and talked to her and then sent us the info. her husband died a few years back and she is looking for a religion that can fill the gap that she feels and also she said that when she was grieving she had a moment that she knew her husband was ok that he was busy and that he still knew her and haden and he loved them and was working for them and at the time she was going to a nondenominational christian mega-church and they taught that the dead become impassive and lose all knowledge and that even if you were to find each other on the other side that you wouldn't recognize them and she knew that this wasn't true, so on her doorstep we testified to her of the great plan of happiness and then we said a prayer with her and she was in tears the whole time, we are going back on Wednesday at 11 to teach them the lessons so please pray for them!

ok now for not so fun news ok well deven did get to the easter pageant BUT they didn't have enough seats in the van for us :( so we probably won't be going to the pageant this year.

so with the change in the dinner policy we've been eating dinner with members almost every night and i love it so much! building these friendships has been amazing so far and its been great to really get to know the members.

oh and the ward had a fundraising dinner auction thing where they had a ton of nonmembers at so we went and they convinced us to do the stick pull (which i won booyeah) so sister marinar sent pictures to you of that
Any whom i love you all so much! keep up the good work!
also how are nathan and Kyle? i hear about the rest of the clan but not them.

One does not simply walk into Mordor

ok well not much to report sadly enough. but on a good news side we had corned beef and cabbage yesterday and guess what!!!!!!! I LOVED IT! it was the weirdest thing in the world because i like LOVED it and i've always not liked cabbage at all but now i love it! that was weird...

so sadly we had yet another week of one massive ZERO to report to our leaders which makes me very sad but at the same time i know how much we've been working and that what we are doing sure isn't going to help us now but it will help to prepare the area and members for later. instead of actually having members do straight up missionary work (which they won't do) we've been challenging them to go out and meet three of their neighbors who they don't already know and then when we follow up with them for that, we challenge them to have one of those families over for dinner or game night and then when they do that we start over, this is what Elder Jackson and i came up with to help the members actually get to know the people around them.

OH! BIG HUGE EARTH SHAKING NEWS!!!!! i have officially tracted every single street in the area! wow that was the most efficient use of time in which nothing got done!

so needless to say we are refocusing our efforts to work with members and do our best to help them do missionary work. i have faith that once people start getting to know the people around them and they are able to make friends and build relationships then eventually the work will be able to pick up and this area will be great!

we were sitting in ward council and they were working to get something done and it was amazing! the wards here once they have something to do are these giants at getting them done but the problem they have is they don't have any missionary work to do yet but we are all working on it.

well all in all I've been healthy happy and sleepy as usual. oh so funny story our zone leaders were pulling a prank on us and they set the alarm to 2:30 am and apparently we all got out of bed and started praying but then the others figured out that it was way too early and they went back to bed but i had fallen asleep while kneeling by my bed AND THEY LEFT ME THERE! so i woke up this morning with rather sore knees haha oh it was funny

any whom i love you all have a amaztastic (amazing fantastic) day/week/time
I love you!

Elder Meredith - aka BabyFace

ok so my new companion is... Elder Meredith from illinois!

yay and he is a good missionary and its funny i think i'm on some sort of pattern this is my third companion who i am their 2nd companion and this is his 4th transfer out (same story as elder clay and Elder Jackson) i like it though it makes for a lot of learning and a lot of fun.

our main problem with members is convincing them that he is not 15 but actually almost 21 haha multiple members are referring to him as baby face.

i need to get a sd card reader so that i can send pictures (i was useing Elder Campbells before)

one of the best things that has happened so far is the amazing amount of miracles that have happened in the past week, its amazing! we've helped a few people move and from that we have a ton of potential investigators and it looks like if we continue to be obedient and do what we need to do we might have some more work to do in this area and i'm super excited about that.

the 1st ward has made march the missionary month so all the talks in sacrament are going to be focused on missionary work and yes this means that we are going to speak :( i think i have dads liking for giving talks in church if you read what i'm writing...

i think my biggest hardship this past week is i've been mission Elder Jackson a lot, i know its kinda girly of me to say but i've been spending all day everyday with my best friend and then i get put with someone else and its been hard but i'm sure that elder meredith and i wil be able to get along just as well i'm sure.

any whom i love you all and you have a fantastic week!
